Adapting Beyond COVID-19

During the COVID-19 pandemic, MyLEGACY took extensive measures to address the challenges posed by the virus, especially in health and social protection systems. We focused on protecting women and girls, who were at higher risk due to their roles as healthcare workers and caregivers. We also aligned our efforts with government restrictions to prevent the spread of infection and supported communities in coping with the pandemic’s impact.

Now that COVID-19 is no longer a major concern, we are focusing on other health issues that are more impactful to society and align with our ongoing initiatives. We are committed to Menstrual Health Management (MHM), ensuring girls have access to sanitary products, menstrual hygiene education, girl-friendly toilets, and proper facilities in schools. We’re addressing Nutrition and Food Security by tackling malnutrition and teaching sustainable vegetable farming. Through our WASH efforts, we continue promoting clean water, hygiene practices, and soap-making in communities and schools. We also remain dedicated to Preventing Gender-Based Violence, offering healthcare and support services to survivors. Our work is centered on making a lasting difference in our communities.
